A favoured holiday spot since the Victorian era, Blackpool is a traditional English seaside town. Amusement arcades and crazy golf courses line the promenade and dotted between them are plenty of places to pick up fresh fish ‘n’ chips and Blackpool rock.
On the 5-mile sandy beach, children can enjoy Punch and Judy shows and donkey rides. Old-fashioned entertainment at its best. At the other end of the scale is the Blackpool Pleasure Beach, a fairground complex comprising a variety of rides, including The Big One - once the world’s tallest and steepest rollercoaster. They actually had to get permission from nearby Blackpool Airport to erect it!
More seaside pursuits are on the town’s 3 piers, one of which is Grade II listed. However, the most recognisable landmark is the Blackpool Tower which houses a circus, 4D cinema and a world-renowned ballroom, to name a few. Modelled on the Eiffel Tower, it is spectacularly lit during the annual Blackpool Illuminations, when the whole town is bathed in bright lights. The trams plying the prom are also lit. Look out for the one shaped like a ship.
A popular stag and hen do destination, Blackpool offers accommodation ranging from North Shore hotels to South Shore B&Bs - see Booking.com for the best choice.
There are pub clubs wetherspoons. They have theatre and there's plenty of local shops. Trams and buses to take you to other places you would like to visit. Fish and chip shops. And plenty of restaurants nearby

We went for a special event so didn’t use the attractions...
We went for a special event so didn’t use the attractions that were on offer. Having said that there were lots of things you could do if you wanted to, especially for younger people, and familles with children. However it was a bit pricey but I guess that’s the same for everywhere these days. We did have a ride in the horse and carriage which was nice but there was a lot of traffic so it was a bit stop/start. There did seem to be a lack of public toilets for such a large place. Stanley Park was on our doorstep and a lovely place to walk around, with a nice cafe serving breakfast/lunch/dinner/snacks/ice cream or just drinks, it’s huge both inside and out. The outside is all dog friendly with dog water bowls available. St Anne’s was a nice place we visited, much quieter with a lovely dog friendly beach and a good selection of shops and dog friendly restaurants/cafes. Much more so than Blackpool itself. I’d have to say that Blackpool its more of a family/ young person place, so if this is you you’ll have a great time. But if you’re older or have dogs like us, then I’d head towards St.Annes.

My partner and I love coming to Blackpool, despite run down...
My partner and I love coming to Blackpool, despite run down beach front buildings there is a lovely beach to visit and sooooo much to do from shopping, clubbing etc. to walking and even swimming when the weather is hot. It is just a shame that the council is not investing money into improving the town as it is our favourite seaside place to visit.
It is very easy to get around as there are buses, taxis and trams, so plenty of choices or just a nice long walk if you stay in the centre.
We love to do some shopping, eating out and long walks on the beach but there are a lot of attractions for everyone including the wonderful Blackpool tower.
The hotel is just far enough out of Blackpool to make you feel that you are still in Blackpool. Tram stops just outside which is excellent if you wanted to walk or travel by tram. Parking on the front of the hotel is perfect. We arrived early and were able to check in early, leave the car and go off and enjoy our short stay. The hosts were both lovely, knowledgeable and helpful. We were upgraded to a seafront room, breakfast was lovely and we could have had whatever we wanted, nothing was too much trouble.
Cheap hotel right next to a tram stop. Surprisingly the entertainment wasn't too bad.
If you want a cheap stay in Blackpool then this is passable as an option. Don't expect the best for the price. If you used to 5 star then keep looking. We just wanted a cheap few nights away with our daughter and didn't expect the hight of luxury so we wernt disappointed with the place. Dont book and then complain because the staff do understand that there are some problems.
Made to feel very welcome. It was just me and my son, something I do not do very often and so it was nice to stay somewhere so accommodating and with lovely owners.
Very clean, great location (especially for someone with mobility issues like myself). Breakfast was was lovely, and personalised for my son.
My son now wants to live (at what he calls) the red hotel.
Whenever we return to Blackpool, we will be staying here.
Thank you both 😊
More like a blingy boutique hotel than a B&B, Short walk to seafront. bars. restaurants and main shopping area, convenience shop across road, Lovely breakfast which I missed out on the first day because the bed was so comfy I didn't want to get up.
Everything you could possibly imagine needing in your very well-lit room and all toiletries provided. My sister left a cardi in her room which was very kindly posted to her.
The host were amazing by far the best hotel we stayed in Blackpool. Lovely room lovely hotel great sleep. Breakfast was out of this world. Really nice bar nice place and all round amazing people felt like we stayed with family.
Will.definitely be back. Fiona and Eamonn were like staying with my Aunty and Uncle highlight of my trip to Blackpool.
Can't reccomend enough.
Hotel in great location and great value for the money, stayed in the family room in July 2023 , the staff were so helpful and everything was ready for us coming. Staff lovely and kept making sure we had everything. Been going to blackpool for years , this has to be the best value for money hotel, I will definitely be booking here again. Also great location
Great location! 5 min to winter gardens and center of Blackpool. I had a last minute booking and they were very accommodating. The best part were the staff. every person I met was cheerful and kind and willing to help. Two gentlemen even helped me look up trains to the Lake District. Great bar in the hotel. Very comfortable bed and lovely bathroom.
Fantastically run hotel by a great partnership. Extremely friendly and helpful. The breakfast was delicious. They helped me with parking my motorcycle and collecting my belongings later in the day. Very clean room and appropriate for a solo traveller. Thank you very much and will stay here on my next visit to Blackpool.
The owners were very welcoming from arrival to departure, and the hotel was very clean. The bestest one so far in blackpool, room reasonable size, and the beds were really comfy. The location is good, not on the seafront but not far from coral island, I would definitely stay here again, and so would my daughter 😀
I stayed here while I worked in Blackpool.
The staff are really friendly, and the room was excellent and very warm.
The hotel is in a great location close the ardwick pub which is only £1.80 a pint.
I will definitely be staying here again - it’s a two thumbs up from me.
clean room, family friendly accommodating staff, even made breakfast early for us as we had to rush off. Located close to the seaside and pleasure beach. Public parking nearby. For a cheap hotel in Blackpool this hotel deserves 10/10
One of the best hotels we have stayed in at blackpool. The family room was a great size for the kids too. Anything we asked the hotel wasnt a problem at all either and already told friends and family about the hotel
Everything best hotel in Blackpool. We won't go anywhere else. Staff brilliant breakfast brilliant. Evening meal lovely. Brilliant entertainment. Especially the DJ in Saturday night. One funny guy is Joe the dj
Right next to the sea. Only 10 min drive from the main piers in Blackpool. Very large hotel. Had evening entertainment although we didn't stay to watch and couldn't hear any noise when in our room.
I particularly recommend this hotel, Personal listening and very helpful. Clean room and very comfortable bed. What better way to spend a good festival weekend in Blackpool.. I would come back
Best family hotel in Blackpool. Room spotlessly clean & staff are so friendly and accommodating. Perfect location. Our grand kids love it there. Already booked up for next year.
